The Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line has increased its daily trips from 54 to 72, enhancing efficiency and reducing travel time between Marina and Mile 2 to 18 minutes. LAMATA’s Managing Director, Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo, announced the changes, which include a 25% fare discount for off-peak hours (10:00 am – 4:00 pm) to ease economic pressures. The new schedule, beginning at 6:30 am and ending at 7:27 pm, allows commuters to plan their trips better. Since its launch in September 2023, the Blue Line has become a popular and convenient option for those traveling along the Lagos-Badagry expressway, offering an alternative to driving and reducing transportation costs.
