The Yoruba Council Worldwide has called for peaceful coexistence among ethnic groups in Lagos and emphasized respect for the Iyaloja-General of Lagos, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo. The council, led by Oladotun Hassan, condemned attempts to undermine the traditional authority of the Iyaloja and stressed that any actions causing ethnic conflict should be avoided. They urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to investigate allegations of disturbances caused by some groups. The council also announced the first Yoruba Obas Summit on November 7, which will focus on national development, security, and empowerment issues.
