Oyebanji Inaugurates ₦800 Million Hostel at the College of Nursing Sc

Nursing education in Ekiti State has been significantly enhanced with the inauguration of a 600-bed student hostel at the College of Nursing Sciences in Ado Ekiti, a project valued at N800 million developed through a Public/Private Partnership with entrepreneur Arch. Dipo Ajayi. During the commissioning, Governor Biodun Oyebanji reaffirmed his commitment to improving infrastructure in educational institutions and increasing access to education. He praised Ajayi for his dedication to the state despite challenges during the project’s execution.
The governor encouraged students to take ownership of the new facility and avoid vandalism while expressing gratitude to traditional rulers for their support. Arch. Ajayi emphasized the need for collaboration among stakeholders and urged the removal of barriers to encourage further investment in the state.
Health Commissioner Dr. Oyebanji Filani announced plans for additional projects, including an 80-bed wing at the teaching hospital and a 700-capacity lecture theater for the College of Nursing Sciences. Students celebrated the upgrades with songs in praise of the governor.
