Early Monday morning, a fire reportedly broke out at the Katsina State Government House in Katsina. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

According to Alhaji Bashir, a nearby resident, the fire began around 6 a.m. “I noticed a fire service truck rushing in. I was at home after morning prayers when I saw the truck heading towards the Government House. Later, I learned that there was a fire in the red chamber, where Governor Dikko often hosts guests,” he told PUNCH Online.

Attempts to reach the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohammed, for comments were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to calls from our correspondent.
