Aliko Dangote has formally announced the commencement of petrol production at the highly anticipated Dangote Refinery. During the announcement, he extended his heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the pivotal decision to permit the sale of crude oil in Naira, a move that marks a significant shift in the nation’s oil industry. In a symbolic gesture, Dangote presented the very first sample of the refined petrol, drawing attention to the bottle placed on the table. As he unveiled the sample, many were struck by the pristine, colorless nature of the petrol, a characteristic that took even Dangote by surprise. He candidly admitted that he had never realized petrol was supposed to be this clear, highlighting the refinery’s advanced capabilities and the high-quality output it is set to produce.
