Numerous travelers suffered injuries in a serious accident along Otamakun Road in Ogbomoso when their bus, en route from Lagos, plunged into a collapsed bridge at Osuru during a torrential downpour on Friday night, as reported by DAILY POST. According to sources, the heavy rains contributed to the already weakened bridge’s state, leading to the bus’s unfortunate fall into the damaged section.

The Onisapa of Isapa, Oba Ezekiel Abolarinwa Olajide, expressed deep concern over the incident and urged the Oyo State government to prioritize and expedite repairs on the bridge. He emphasized the need for swift action to safeguard the lives of travelers and prevent future occurrences, highlighting the bridge’s critical importance for local and intercity commuters along this vital route.
