Abia-North: Senator Kalu Rebuilds Nine Additional Schools in Arochukwu

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North in the National Assembly, has begun the reconstruction and rehabilitation of nine additional schools in Arochukwu LGA, Abia State. This effort brings the total to 19 schools that he has either renovated or built since his election to the Senate in 2019. The Senator, who chairs the Senate Committee on Privatization, emphasized his dedication to improving educational facilities in the area.
In a statement from his media office, Kalu highlighted the significance of these renovations, which reflect his commitment to enhancing the learning and teaching environments for students and staff in his constituency. He also mentioned that 50 schools were included in the 2024 Budget, further underscoring his focus on education.
A statistical analysis provided by the Senator shows that Arochukwu LGA now has the highest number of renovated schools in Abia North, with 59 schools overall. The projects include comprehensive renovations of classrooms, libraries, and offices in several primary schools, aiming to create safer and more conducive learning environments.
